…And when I do, I notice that the more tentative the artist, the more difficult it is for them to create something they like. Once they break out of the need to look like they know what they’re doing everything seems to come together for them.
This is a real problem whenever we try anything new, our desire to keep from looking like complete fools!

In the next few days I’ll post a few fun exercises I do to get my “inner art” flowing and break me out of the habit of thinking I know what I’m seeing. Many of you will be familiar with them, but it might be fun try out these old stretches again.
